Buying a home is an exciting and significant investment. That’s why homeowners’ insurance is a necessity. However, there are some items and issues that are not covered by homeowners’ insurance such as water heater failure, dishwasher breakdown and electrical or plumbing problems. A Coldwell Banker Home Protection Plan is a sensible way to further protect your home. When covered items break down due to normal wear and tear, our home warranty partner will send a contractor to your home to solve the problem. It’s that simple.
- Our home warranty partner service representatives are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week; allowing you to request service either online or through the four national call centers.
- Their contractor network of prescreened, licensed (where applicable) and insured contractors is the largest in the industry – saving you time.

A home inspection is recommended to every purchaser and sometimes we recommend that our sellers have a “pre-listing” home inspection. An inspection will provide a useful guide to the homeowner by helping to prioritize any necessary maintenance and improvements for the new owner, such as adding additional ventilation or updating electrical outlets, etc. It can also provide an approximation of the remaining useful life of the roof, furnace, etc. The primary reason for an inspection is to discover any hidden deficiencies of which often the seller is not even aware. We can provide you with a current list of local inspectors upon request.
